Field service engineer
are the ones who work with their hands to fix what is broken, primarily in electronic and technical installation works and scheduling maintenance and fixing the malfunctions at the site, and most of the days they spent travelling from one work-site to another one to resolve the problems or situations that arise. They work with several types of tools and machinery in these situations, both indoors and outdoors, and most of them work alone or in small teams with two to three others depending on the company.
No formal education is required for this position beyond a high school diploma, though companies may prefer those who have at least an associate's degree in a relevant field and/or good experience of on-site work. Many field service engineers are also required to work with trained technicians to further their career path and expand their knowledge base. Hours and shifts can vary depending on the company and location wise, but many of them should expect to work any day of the week between dawn and dusk. The job market for this position is rather promising with an estimated 10% growth over the next 10 - 15 years.
Field Service Engineers need to design, install, or repair equipment related to different sectors of technology. Their repair and installation duties may be performed at client´s site or in a place of company. These engineers can work both in public and private sector in electronic manufacturing companies. Sometimes these workers are required to train customers on how to use certain type of hardware.
Field Service Engineers usually perform many of the below tasks:

- Teaming up with other professionals.
- Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and equipments updates.
